  • Follow Mode
    Temple Hill

“Follow Mode” is Ben Leonberg‘s (Good Boy) next horror feature, which is due to be shot entirely on drones. It aims to tap into the live stream generation by following a group of teens who knock a drone out of the sky and discover it contains footage of a serial killer’s crimes. They rush to expose the murderer before becoming victims themselves.

  • TUNA MELT
    SPONSORED BY SUBSTACK

Substack recently sponsored a wild table read for Eddie Huang’s new film “Tuna Melt” – a dark comedy about a hit man. The event featured Chloe Cherry, Evan Mock, Joey Bada$$, Chet Hanks and Kiersey Clemons. The project is a love story disguised as a film about a hitman. It explores masculinity through murder and is ultimately about trauma. It’s described as “an updated Pulp Fiction meets High Fidelity”.

Studios and financiers love the script, but have made “very odd” suggestions on who to cast. So Huang decided to bring the pages to life and provide a peek into his vision. From the laughter that emanated across the room, it seemed to have firmly landed.

  • Hunger
From executive producers of ‘JOY LUCK CLUB’ & 2026 Best Short Oscar winner ‘SINGERS’

“Hunger” – Deep in the mountains, an inn-keeping vampire meets a lonely traveler, both hungry for something the other might be able to provide. Anne has survived her self-imposed isolation in the Sierra Nevada mountains by draining the blood of periodic hikers who have landed at her mountain cabin for a hot meal and a warm bed. John, a boorish hiker, finds his way to her table where she feeds him poisonous mushrooms, drains his veins, then leaves his body in the woods. Weeks later, Nora, John’s widow, comes to the same mountains to scatter his ashes after it was found in the woods. When she encounters Anne’s cabin, she’s invited in for a hot meal and warm bed. A friendship sparks as they cook together…until Nora discovers that Anne killed John. Nora asks: What kind of monster is Anne? Ultimately, the two women come to understand one another’s plight and humanity, and both discover that though neither had control over the state of their own bodies in life, they can–together–choose how they want to end it.
